Botanical Illustrations
My images reflect different approaches to botanical illustration—one with delicate line work capturing the organic complexity of a flower, and another with bold, high-contrast black ink, emphasising striking forms and textures. These techniques contribute to the timeless tradition of botanical art while introducing a modern, stylised aesthetic.
Flowers are a major source of inspiration in my illustrations, influencing both my subject matter and artistic approach. I’m drawn to their organic shapes, intricate details, and the way they interact with light and shadow. Whether as a focal point or a subtle design element, flowers bring a sense of movement and emotion to my work. Their symbolism, ranging from delicacy to resilience, also plays into the narratives I create. Through my art, I explore the beauty and fleeting nature of flowers, using them to add depth, contrast, and a touch of the surreal.
